Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Indiana Marine awarded the 2013 Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone Award for Courage and Commitment
Staff Sgt. Alec Haralovich renders a salute before he is awarded the 2013 Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone Award for Courage and Commitment here, May 19, 2013. Haralovich earned the distinction for honoring the memory of Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone and upholding the ultimate attribute of what it means to be a United States Marine. His selfless service to the Marine Corps, his Marines and heroic exploits during a 2011 deployment to Afghanistan also earned him the Silver Star Medal. Harolovich is currently assigned to Company E, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve. Haralovich left promptly after the ceremony to begin a nearly year-long deployment to train foreign forces overseas in the coming months. Haralovich is a Reserve Reconnaissance Marine from Bloomington, Ind.
