Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Shock Trauma Platoon Trains in the Desert
Corpsmen with Shock Trauma Platoon, 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, exit the area of an Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter with the New Mexico Army National Guard during a realistic casualty scenario as part of Integrated Training Exercise 4-14 here, June 9, 2014. The Shock Trauma Platoon's objective is to recieve all casualties within Marine Air-Ground Task Force 23 and evaluate their injuries for the Forward Resuscitative Surgical Suite where the decision is made to move the patient to a higher echelon of medical care.
