Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Exploring a Legacy: WWII veteran Rita Brignac Kaul
Cpl. Rita Brignac Kaul is pictured in her Marine Corps service uniform circa 1945. Kaul, a WWII and Korean War veteran, enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1945, was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps Reserve in 1949, and served as a sailor in the Navy Reserve from 1950 to 1954.
