Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Exploring a Legacy: WWII veteran Rita Brignac Kaul
Rita Brignac Kaul, a WWII and Korean War veteran, holds a copy of her honorable discharge papers at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve, Louisiana, Aug. 13, 2014. Kaul enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1945, was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps Reserve in 1949, and served as a sailor in the Navy Reserve from 1950 to 1954.
