Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Marines honor Maj. Daniel Carmick at wreath-laying ceremony
Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills (left), commander of Marine Forces Reserve salutes the gravesite of Maj. Daniel Carmick in a wreath-laying ceremony at the St. Louis Cemetery #2 in New Orleans, Nov. 8, 2014. The ceremony honored Carmick, who fought in the War of 1812. Carmick distinguished himself by commanding Marines in the Battle of New Orleans, which helped repel British forces who sought to seize the city.
