Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

WWII POW Pvt. Marvin Rolansky visits New Orleans for veteran’s reunion and conference
Pvt. Marvin A. Rolansky, a World War II Marine veteran and Prisoner of War Medal of Honor recipient, is greeted by Sgt. Emmanuel Ortiz, an operations noncommissioned officer in charge with Marine Forces Reserve Operations, at Louis Armstrong International Airport in Kenner, La., June 3, 2015. Rolansky was captured by the Japanese after the fall of Guam on Dec. 9, 1941, and spent four years in a labor camp until his return to U.S. military control in 1945 after the end of the war. Rolansky is one of a group of WWII POWs who visited New Orleans for the American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor Memorial Society Reunion June 2-6, 2015.
