ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Staff Sgt. Gentry Jones, fire support chief with Battery M, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, Marine Forces Reserve, listens to the history of the Battle of Chickamauga at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on July 20, 2015. The Marines gathered together at the park to honor their fallen brothers killed by a gunman at the Naval Operational Support Center and Marine Corps Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. They also used this opportunity to strengthen their bond as a unit and support each other after the tragedy.
