Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Maj. Paul Smith, a recruiting support officer with 6th Marine Corps District, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, speaks to parents and educators about different resources and opportunities offered by the Marine Corps to high school and college students during the United Negro College Fund’s “Empower Me” Tour, Feb. 20, 2016, at Dillard University in New Orleans, La. The UNCF-sponsored annual tour takes place at UNCF member campuses and provides high school students and their parents with information about college preparation, successful student strategies and financial aid.
