Soaring Valor Honor Flight
Corporal Mauricio E. Reyes, aviation transportation coordination office clerk, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, greets World War II veterans as they arrive at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on a Soaring Valor Honor Flight, Oct. 27, 2016. In 2015, the Gary Sinise Foundation launched the Soaring Valor Honor Flight program with the National WWII Museum, with the goal of preserving each veteran’s first-person account of the war. Each time a flight arrives, Marines from Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans welcome the veterans to recognize their service to the nation. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
