ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Marine Forces Reserve Honors Maj. Daniel Carmick

Marines from Marine Forces Reserve present the colors during a wreath-laying ceremony for Major Daniel Carmick at St. Louis Cemetery No. 2 here, Nov. 9, 2016. The Marine Corps visits Carmick’s gravesite annually to conduct a wreath laying ceremony and commemorate his heroic actions.
