ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

National World War II Museum remembers the attack on Pearl Harbor

Lt. Gen. Rex C. McMillian, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, speaks during a commemorative ceremony at the National World War II Museum, Dec. 7, 2016, for the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The event honored the service members who were present during the fateful attack on Dec. 7, 1941. During World War II, by September of 1945, Reserve Marines made up 70 percent of total wartime Marine Corps personnel.
