Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Gunnery Sgt. Heath Dierks and the “Red Dogs” of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 773, Marine Aircraft Group 49, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, rescue a dog from the flood caused by Hurricane Harvey at Port Arthur, Texas, Aug. 29, 2017. Marine Forces Reserve is posturing ground, air and logistical assets in order to support FEMA, state and local response efforts due to Hurricane Harvey. The Marine Corps Reserve is America’s expeditionary total force in readiness whether on the battlefield or during national emergencies.
