Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Gunnery Sgt. Kassandra Blade, the logistics systems coordinations chief with Headquarters Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, encourages a member of the Loyola University New Orleans baseball team during a workout session at Loyola University New Orleans, Jan. 12, 2019. Blade, a former drill instructor, brought her experience to help lead a workout that was physically challenging to the participants but also focused on teamwork and leadership.
