Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Redefining Marksmanship: Reserve Marines conduct new Annual Rifle Qualification
Marines with Combat Marksmanship Coaches Reserve (CMCR) engage targets while conducting the new Annual Rifle Qualification (ARQ) at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Sept. 21, 2021. The CMCR students are the first to qualify as Combat Marksmanship Coaches under the new ARQ that will soon be implemented across the Marine Corps. The new ARQ seeks to increase lethality across the force through challenging combat shooting scenarios. Marine Forces Reserve Marines with CMCR will be an integral part of transitioning the Marine Corps Total Force to the ARQ as the Marine Corps continues to adapt training to prepare Marines for future operational requirements.
