Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

UNITAS 2022
Marines from Brazil’s Amphibious Vehicle Battalion (Batalhao de Viatures) demonstrate vehicle capabilities as they simulate an amphibious raid along the shoreline of Ilha do Governador Brazilian Marine Corps base, Rio de Janeiro, during Exercise UNITAS LXIII, Sept. 7, 2022. 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, in support of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force UNITAS LXIII, worked alongside Brazilian Marines to work up to a culminating event. UNITAS is the world's longest-running annual multinational maritime exercise that brings together forces from 19 countries to include Brazil, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Guyana, Jamaica, Mexico, Namibia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, South Korea, Spain, United Kingdom, Uruguay, and the United States. The exercise focuses on enhancing interoperability among multiple nations and joint forces during littoral and amphibious operations in order to build on existing regional partnerships and create new enduring relationships that promote peace, stability and prosperity in the U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility.
