Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Cpl. Jesse Duncan, a radio operator, previously stationed in Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, turns in paperwork before checking out of the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) Muster in Tampa, Florida, Jan. 28, 2023. Marines that take part in the IRR Muster are screened in order to ensure readiness for augmentation into the active component of the total force. The IRR Marines were required to attend a reserve opportunity and obligations brief as well as complete an admin audit in order to ensure their information is up to date in the case of receiving recall orders.
