Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

A photo of retired U.S. Marine Corps Corporal Lou 'Mama Lou' Keller during her time as a U.S. Marine. Mama Lou enlisted in the Marine Corps to honor her father during World War II and was the first woman to join the Marine Corps from Gilroy, CA.
