ABOUT

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021. Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare. The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Marine Innovation Unit Change of Command and Birthday Ball

U.S. Marines assigned to the Marine Innovation Unit march during the unit’s 250th Marine Corps Birthday Ball in White Plains, New York, Nov. 21, 2025. The birthday ball took place at the conclusion of MIU’s annual week-long training period, establishing objectives and plans for the coming year. Established in 2022, the Marine Innovation Unit leverages the talent of the Marine Corps Reserve to accelerate the adoption of advanced capabilities, transform Naval Service capacity for technology employment, and retain and invest in Total Force human capital.
