Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Capt. Joseph Graves, a platoon commander with Company G, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, works with an Iraqi police officer role player to defuse a public disturbance during a training exercise July 21, 2008. Although he served as a communications officer while on active duty, Graves had the opportunity to go infantry in the reserves. The Marine Corps Reseve has many command billets available at the platoon and company level for officers leaving active duty.
