U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. David G. Bellon, right, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, presents a ceremonially-folded American flag to the city of Mandeville’s Police Chief Gerald Sticker, left, during the funeral of Vincent Liberto Jr., in Mandeville, La., Sept. 27, 2019. Liberto was a Captain with the Mandeville Police Department and was shot and killed in the line-of-duty, Sept. 20, 2019. Liberto previously served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve before being honorably discharged as a sergeant. Funeral support is one of the many services Marines provide in communities across the country. In 2018, Reserve Marines conducted 20,400 military funeral honors, representing 93 percent of all funeral honors rendered by the Marine Corps. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Tessa D. Watts)
