About

Marine Air Ground Task Force-25 (MAGTF-25) will execute Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-21 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) Twentynine Palms, Camp Wilson, CA from 19 July – 08 August 2021 in order to complete service level assessments of core Mission Essential Tasks (METs) while operating as a MAGTF. MAGTF-25 is designated as the command element, 3/25 and 2/23 as the ground combat elements, MAG-49 as the lead aviation combat element, and CLB-25 as lead logistics combat element.

ITX 5-19 is an essential component of the MARFORRES training and readiness cycle.  It serves as the principal exercise for assessing a unit's capabilities.

Marine Awarded Silver Star for Vietnam War Heroics

Retired Maj. Gen. John Admire (right) handshakes retired Maj. Edward F. Wright (left) at Portland, Ore., Feb. 1, 2019. Wright was awarded the medal for his actions on Aug. 21, 1967, when he led a reaction force against North Vietnamese forces that had ambushed an Army convoy and pinned down his company commander’s relief force. While exposed to intense enemy fire, Wright’s tactical skills and placement of fire support enabled his force to steadily advance and rescue the besieged Soldiers and Marines.
