Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-21

About

Marine Air Ground Task Force-25 (MAGTF-25) will execute Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-21 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) Twentynine Palms, Camp Wilson, CA from 19 July – 08 August 2021 in order to complete service level assessments of core Mission Essential Tasks (METs) while operating as a MAGTF. MAGTF-25 is designated as the command element, 3/25 and 2/23 as the ground combat elements, MAG-49 as the lead aviation combat element, and CLB-25 as lead logistics combat element.

ITX 5-19 is an essential component of the MARFORRES training and readiness cycle.  It serves as the principal exercise for assessing a unit's capabilities.

Matthew Guido, the Marine Corps Reserve assistant aircraft maintenance officer and officer-in-charge of additive manufacturing for Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 49 (MALS-49), discusses with Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand’s staff the advances made for KC-130s using additive manufacturing at Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, New York, on Aug. 25, 2022. Capt. Guido was board selected to the Marine Innovation Unit as part of the Innovation Laboratory due to his unique skill as an additive manufacturer for MALS-49 to further advance Marine Corps technology. The MIU is a newly activated unit designed to accelerate advanced capabilities, transform Naval Service capacity for technology employment, and retain and invest in highly skilled Marines in support of Force Design 2030 and the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ initiatives.
