Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-21

About

Marine Air Ground Task Force-25 (MAGTF-25) will execute Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-21 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) Twentynine Palms, Camp Wilson, CA from 19 July – 08 August 2021 in order to complete service level assessments of core Mission Essential Tasks (METs) while operating as a MAGTF. MAGTF-25 is designated as the command element, 3/25 and 2/23 as the ground combat elements, MAG-49 as the lead aviation combat element, and CLB-25 as lead logistics combat element.

ITX 5-19 is an essential component of the MARFORRES training and readiness cycle.  It serves as the principal exercise for assessing a unit's capabilities.

2/23 Leaves for UDP

The Marines are headed to Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, as part of Unit Deployment Program 25.1. The activation marks the beginning of an intensive training period for 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines as they provide a total force solution in support of the UDP, aligning Marine Forces Reserve's commitment with Marine Corps strategic objectives.
