From 31 July to 14 August, CLB 451 (-)(REIN) provides forward DS and GS logistics to JTF-85 IOT enable joint task force projection functions and conduct tactical sustainment to maximize maneuver element ability to execute area defense, offense and stability operations in support of the reestablishment of the legitimate border of Gorgas.

The activation marks the beginning of an intensive period of training for 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines as they provide a total force solution in support of the UDP by aligning Marine Forces Reserve’s commitment to Marine Corps strategic objectives.
