ABOUT 

The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. This initiative provides Afghan personnel essential support at secure locations outside Afghanistan

U.S. Marines with Hotel Battery, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, fire projectiles from a M777 howitzer at Adazi Training Area, Latvia, March 2, 2019, in support of exercise Dynamic Front 19. DF19 will provide an intense, realistic environment that takes advantage of U.S. Army Europe’s unique training resources to seamlessly coordinate fires in support of U.S. and Allied operations. Approximately 3,200 participants from 27 nations will take part in the live-fire portion of exercise Dynamic Front 19, March 2-9, 2019, at the U.S. Army's Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany; as well as in Riga, Latvia; and Torun, Poland.
