ARCTIC EDGE 2024: MACS-24 Marines employ AN/TPS-80

U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Mathew Colley, a radar technician with Marine Air Control Squadron 24 (MACS-24), Marine Air Control Group 48, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, assembles the stabilizers of an AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) in preparation of Exercise ARCTIC EDGE 2024 at Fort Greely, Alaska, Feb. 10, 2024. The G/ATOR is a crucial component of the Marine Air Command and Control System, supporting the Air Combat Element (ACE) of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF). ARCTIC EDGE 2024 (AE24) is a U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise demonstrating the U.S. military’s capabilities in extreme cold weather, joint force readiness, and U.S. military commitment to mutual strategic security interests in the arctic region.
