The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. This initiative provides Afghan personnel essential support at secure locations outside Afghanistan

ARCTIC EDGE 2024: MACS-24 Marines employ AN/TPS-80

The G/ATOR offers real-time information on-air threats, enabling air control squadrons to effectively manage airspace and ensure the safety and efficiency of joint air operations in any environment, including harsh arctic conditions. ARCTIC EDGE 2024 (AE24) is a U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise demonstrating the U.S. military’s capabilities in extreme cold weather, joint force readiness, and U.S. military commitment to mutual strategic security interests in the arctic region.
