ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

Regional, Culture and Language Familiarization program expands to include Reserve component
The Regional, Culture and Language Familiarization program has been expanded, and is now mandatory for Reserve-component sergeants with a date of rank on or after May 1, 2013, officers commissioned on or after April 1, 2009 and warrant officers commissioned on or after Feb. 1, 2011. The program aims to prepare officers and non-commissioned officers to navigate the culturally-complex global operating environments in support of Marine Corps missions. (Courtesy photo)
