ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

4th MAW supports IRT Old Harbor
Staff Sgt. William Rueppel, a Marine with Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 471, Marine Aircraft Group 41, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, drives a Rubber-Tired, Articulated Steering, Multi-Purpose Tractor in Old Harbor, Alaska, April 7, 2014. The engineer equipment will be used during Innovative Readiness Training Old Harbor, a project to extend a remote runway beginning in May running through August. The project will continue work started by the Marine Corps Reserve in 2013 to extend a remote village runway by about 2000 feet.
