Lieutenant General Richard P. Mills, commander, Marine Forces Reserve, speaks to honorary guests at a memorial service in the Boeing exhibit of the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 26, 2014. In the first two rows of chairs sat family members of service members who perished aboard the U.S.S. Tang during its final mission attacking a Japanese convoy of ships, never to return home. The ceremony honored members of the military who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and was attended by many veterans and family members.
