ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

FHG commanding general gets promoted
Brig. Gen. Helen G. Pratt (left), commanding general of Force Headquarters Group, and Lt. Gen. Richard Mills, commander of Marine Forces Reserve, hold Pratt’s certificate of promotion after her promotion ceremony at Glenridge Middle School Sept. 5, 2014. Pratt was promoted in front of the students, teachers and fellow staff members of the school, where she was a guidance counselor prior to taking command.
