ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

Marines honor 27th Commandant with wreath laying
Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills, commander of Marine Forces Reserve, salutes the grave of Gen. Robert H. Barrow, 27th Commandant of the Marine Corps, during a wreath-laying ceremony at Grace Church of West Feliciana Cemetery in St. Francisville, La., Nov. 10, 2014. The ceremony is part of an annual Marine Corps-wide tradition where Marines lay wreaths on the gravesites of former commandants and sergeants major of the Marine Corps.
