ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

Marine recieves Reserve Component Noncommissioned Officer of the Year
Sgt. Joshua F. Stark, a motor transport operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 25, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, receives a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal from Lt. McMillian, commander of Marine Forces Reserve, for displaying exceptional leadership qualities and initiative that earned him Reserve Component Noncommissioned Officer of the Year, while attending Integrated Training Exercise 4-16 aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., June 19, 2016. During the annual training period, the Marines train to perfect their techniques, tactics and procedures to ensure they are ready to deploy worldwide.
