Senior Leaders Leave Their Ranks at the Door
Senior leaders from across Marine Forces Reserve each represent a department in a unit as they work together complete an exercise during the Senior Leadership Workshop aboard Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, Jan. 23-26, 2017. The exercise required the Marines and Sailors to work together to accomplish the mission of stacking the wooden blocks on the table using the ropes in hand. The leaders participated in multiple exercises and discussions that address differences in leadership styles, perspectives, experiences, backgrounds and more. The workshop aims to emphasize the importance of open communication and equal opportunity, and to demonstrate their effects on unit cohesion, mission accomplishment and mission readiness.
