ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

Reserve Marines with 2/14 conduct annual training at WTI 1-18
Lance Cpl. Michael Ryan, a tactical data systems technician with Marine Air Support Squadron 3, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, transports tent poles to set up the direct air support center at Landing Zone Bull Attack, near the Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range, California, Oct. 10, 2017, in support of Weapons and Tactics Instructor course 1-18. Marines with MASS-3 established a DASC in coordination with Reserve Marines with 3rd Platoon, Rocket Battery F, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve. Marines of 2/14 are participating in WTI 1-18 to build proficiency with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and to coordinate the live integration of HIMARS and the F-35B.
