ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

Enlisted Marines Experience What it Takes to Become a Marine Officer

Enlisted Marines participated in the commander's inaugural Summer Officer Tour to gain insight into the journey of becoming a Marine Corps Officer. The tour included visits to Officer Candidates School, The Basic School, Marine Corps University, The National Museum of The Marine Corps and Marine Barracks Washington. Marine Forces Reserve is seeking to identify high performing Active Component, Active Reserve and Selected Marine Corps Reserve Marines, who offer unique perspectives, to pursue a commission as an officer in an effort to better prepare the Marine Corps Total Force to meet future threats.
