ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

U.S. Marines with, 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 2d Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, Combat Logistics Battalion 453, celebrate their Warrior’s Night during the Final Exercise of Mountain Training Exercise 4-23 at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, California, June 23, 2023. The Warrior’s Night concluded the 72-hour mountaineering event that simulated operational conditions in a mountainous environment. The training included gorge crossing, military rope installations, rock climbing, rappelling, evacuation techniques, and small unit tactics.
