Marines with Anti-Tank Training Company fire TOW Missiles on a JLTV near Fort Smith, Arkansas
U.S. Marines with Anti-Tank Training Company, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve prepare to fire a Tube-Launched Optically-Tracked Wire-Guided (TOW) weapon system during a live-fire exercise at Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center, Arkansas, March 3, 2023. The Marines fired the TOW weapon system from a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), to familiarize themselves with the safety and firing procedures associated with it. The JLTV is equipped with more highly evolved technology compared to the basic equipment of a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). The upgraded vehicle is mechanically reliable, maintainable with onboard diagnostics, all-terrain mobile, and equipped to link into current and future tactical data nets.
