ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

Maj. Gen. Rex C. McMillian, the commanding general of 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, hands Cpl. Philimon Nasry, a radio operator with Marine Wing Communication Squadron 48, his promotion warrant during a promotion ceremony at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center July 19. "He told me to keep up the good work, train my Marines to succeed and to hold onto my lance corporal chevrons to motivate a younger Marine," Nasry said.
