ABOUT 

Gunslinger is a large military exercise conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Kansas Air National Guard’s 134th Air Control Squadron of McConnell Air Force Base. More than 1,300 Marines from 11 home training centers across the country have deployed to multiple areas throughout Kansas to participate in Gunslinger 22.

Corporal Stephen Jensen, a U.S. Marine assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron-471, Marine Forces Reserve, participates in a ceremony here marking the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The ceremony, coinciding with events in New York City and Washington, D.C., featured a wreath-laying at a memorial for United Airlines Flight 93, remarks by Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, and was attended by roughly 150 family members and guests.
