ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Ospreys to the Reserves

In celebration of Marine Forces Reserve receiving their first Osprey squadron, a Marine color guard was present to bear the nation's colors at Edwards Air Force Base near Lancaster, Calif. Jan 12, 2013. The ceremony included a change of command, the re-designation of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 764 (HMM-764) to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM-764) and the relocation of the unit to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The unit's move will be complete Jan. 18, 2013. VMM-764 is Marine Forces Reserve's first tiltrotor squadron. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Ray Lewis/Released)
