ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Marine takes charge, earns Silver Star
MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT, SAN DIEGO-- Sgt. Miguelange G. Madrigal, a radio chief with Supporting Arms Liaison Team G, 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, reports to Lt. Gen. Steven A. Hummer, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, before being awarded a Silver Star Medal aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Jan. 31, 2013. The ceremony took place in front of a building named after Madrigal’s senior drill instructor, Staff Sgt. Allan K. Walker, who was killed in action in Ramadi, Iraq in 2004.
