ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

World War II veteran, Amelie Prados Cressend gives thanks to the Marine Corps Band New Orleans after they had performed the rearranged, updated and expanded arrangement of her original song, “Keep America Free,” at Marine Corps Support Facility band hall, May 6. Retired Marine Corps musician, Former Staff Sgt. Jake Johnson, and Marine Corps Band New Orleans worked together to bring Cressend’s dream and musical vision to life by harmonizing and rearranging her original score, and adapting the song into their official repertoire.
