ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Norfolk based helicopter squadron gets feet wet in desert

The flight operation was the first during ITX 4-14, a two-week exercise and the first time for the pilots flying in a desert environment since last year’s ITX. ITX is the largest Marine Corps Reserve training exercise with more than 4,000 Marines and sailors participating from units across the United States. The exercise focuses on the tactical application of combined-arms during global contingencies.
