ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Montford Point Marines receive Congressional Gold Medal
Gladys Allen-Smith accepts the Congressional Gold Medal on behalf of her late father Charles E. Allen at the National Montford Point Marine Association’s 49th Annual National Convention, July 16, 2014. Allen was one of the original Montford Point Marines. The president and vice president of the National Montford Point Marine Association presented the medal to Allen-Smith during the National President’s Reception.
