Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Marines with 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, patrol near the tree line while conducting an assault on a simulated enemy town Aug. 17, 2014, aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., during exercise Heavy Metal 14. During the assault, infantry units moved from house-to-house clearing them of all enemy forces.
