Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Marine Makes MMA Debut

John Zimmer, a security specialist at Headquarters Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, tries to fight off his opponent’s take down at the Caged Warrior Championship V on Oct. 4, 2014, in Patterson, La. This was Zimmer’s first time competing in a mixed martial arts fight. Although he lost, Zimmer looks forward to future challenges as a martial artist.
