ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Marines honor 27th Commandant with wreath laying
Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills, commander of Marine Forces Reserve, places a wreath on the gravesite of Gen. Robert H. Barrow, 27th Commandant of the Marine Corps, during a wreath-laying ceremony at Grace Church of West Feliciana Cemetery in St. Francisville, La., Nov. 10, 2014. The ceremony is part of an annual Marine Corps-wide tradition where Marines lay wreaths on the gravesites of former commandants and sergeants major of the Marine Corps.
