Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Marines rescue woman from overturned vehicle

Marines with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, were the first on the scene of this overturned truck Nov. 26, 2014, after conducting a funeral detail. The woman inside, Patti Cranford, of Garrison, Texas, was on her way to the funeral when she lost control of her vehicle a mile away from the cemetery. (Photo by Scott Flowers)
