ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Lt. Gen. Rex C. McMillian, commander of Marine Forces North and Marine Forces Reserve, and Sgt. Maj. Anthony Spadaro, MFR/MFN sergeant major, salute the National Ensign during a wreath-laying ceremony to honor Gen. Robert H. Barrow, the 227th Commandant of the Marine Corps, at Grace Episcopal Church in St. Francisville, La., Nov. 10, 2015. Barrow’s children and several extended family and friends gathered to pay their respects to the former commandant who died Oct. 30, 2008.
